Job Description
Are you passionate about the internet and want to contribute to improving search engine results from the comfort of your home? Telus International is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Search Engine Evaluators to join our team. This role involves analyzing and evaluating search engine results to improve their relevance and quality, without any customer interaction or phone calls. You will be working on a flexible, part-time basis, performing tasks that require a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of web content and search patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate search engine results pages (SERPs) based on provided guidelines.
- Assess the relevance, accuracy, and quality of web content and search query interpretations.
- Provide constructive and objective feedback on a variety of online tasks.
- Adhere to project-specific guidelines and quality standards.
- Complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes.
- Maintain confidentiality of all project information and proprietary data.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
- Strong understanding of the English-speaking culture and current events.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Up-to-date PC or laptop with Windows OS (Mac users may be considered based on project needs).
- Familiarity with various web browsers and online research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with search engine evaluation or content moderation.
- Experience using online mapping tools and local search.
- A degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Linguistics, Media Studies).
- Demonstrated interest in internet trends and digital media.
