Job Description
Are you a motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and customer service? Coca-Cola Beverages Hawaii is seeking an enthusiastic Route Sales Representative to join our team in Kailua-Kona. In this role, you will be responsible for selling and delivering our wide range of products to established customers within a designated territory, driving a box truck. You will build strong relationships with our retail partners, ensure product availability, and optimize shelf presence to maximize sales. Key Responsibilities
- Execute pre-assigned daily route, delivering Coca-Cola products to various retail customers (e.g., supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants).
- Drive and operate a commercial box truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Negotiate and sell new product placements, promotions, and displays to increase sales volume within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with store managers and personnel.
- Merchandise products effectively, ensuring proper shelf placement, pricing, and display execution.
- Rotate stock and manage inventory levels at customer locations to minimize out-of-stocks and spoilage.
- Process orders, invoices, and payments accurately using a handheld device.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned route.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform daily pre/post-trip inspections of the company vehicle.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B within a specified timeframe (company training may be provided).
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or route delivery.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Basic math skills and comfort with handheld sales devices.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business or a related field.
- CDL Class B license already in hand.
- Prior experience in the beverage or consumer packaged goods industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with the Kailua-Kona area and surrounding communities.
