Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Entry-Level ENT Clinic Nurse to join our Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist team in Spokane. This role is perfect for a newly licensed nurse or one looking to specialize in a dynamic clinical setting. You will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care, assisting with in-office procedures, educating patients, and supporting the overall flow of our busy ENT clinic. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop specialized skills under the guidance of experienced professionals, focusing on a wide range of head and neck conditions for patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist ENT physicians with patient examinations and in-office procedures such as endoscopies, biopsies, and minor surgical interventions.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all necessary equipment is available for patient care.
  • Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints, and accurately document all information in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Educate patients and their families on ENT conditions, treatment plans, medication administration, and post-procedure care.
  • Manage patient appointments, referrals, and prescription refills as needed.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients undergoing diagnostic tests or experiencing discomfort.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Assist with follow-up calls and coordinate care with other specialists or primary care providers.

Required Skills

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an acute care setting or specialty clinic.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to ENT.
  • Experience with sterile technique and minor procedure assistance.
