Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Microsoft Data Handler to join our dynamic financial sector team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US, contributing to critical data management initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and maintaining large datasets using various Microsoft tools, ensuring data integrity and accuracy to support our financial operations and reporting. You will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making and optimizing our data workflows within a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of data handling best practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, clean, and validate large datasets from various financial sources using Microsoft Excel and SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key financial metrics.
- Collaborate with financial analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver insightful reports.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data handling processes.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks where applicable.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Document data processes, definitions, and data flow architectures.
- Adhere to company data governance policies and regulatory compliance standards.
- Provide support for data requests and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA).
- Strong experience with SQL Server for querying, managing, and manipulating data.
- Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and report creation.
- Proven ability to handle large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Understanding of data integrity, security, and governance principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of other data processing tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS S3).
- Certification in Microsoft data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
