Job Description

Are you an energetic and customer-focused 14-year-old in 8th or 9th grade looking for your first job experience? AMC Theatres in Northeast Minneapolis is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Movie Theater Crew! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn valuable skills, work in a fun and dynamic environment, and contribute to delivering an excellent movie-going experience. You’ll be assisting with various front-of-house tasks, ensuring our guests have a clean, safe, and enjoyable visit. No prior experience is required – we’ll provide all the training you need!

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Assist guests with ticket scanning and guiding them to auditoriums.
  • Prepare and serve concession items, including popcorn, drinks, and candy.
  • Handle cash and process transactions accurately at the concession stand.
  • Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, restrooms, and auditoriums between showtimes.
  • Restock supplies in concessions and other guest areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as directed.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve minor guest inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
  • Must be 14 years old and eligible to work according to local child labor laws.
  • Currently enrolled in 8th or 9th grade.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service (e.g., school events, volunteering).
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Enjoys movies and the cinema experience.
