Job Description
Are you a 15-year-old looking for your very first job? Target in Rapid City is excited to welcome enthusiastic and responsible teens to our team as a Retail Helper! This is an amazing opportunity to gain valuable work experience, learn essential customer service skills, and contribute to a vibrant retail environment. You’ll be supported every step of the way as you discover the ins and outs of working in a popular store.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests in locating products and answer basic questions with a friendly demeanor.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked shelves and sales floor areas.
- Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and ensure they are available for guests.
- Support other team members with various tasks as needed, including tidying fitting rooms or assisting with promotional displays.
- Learn and adhere to store policies and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Must be 15 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with guests and team members.
- A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10-15 pounds occasionally.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience or involvement in school activities.
- Eagerness to help others and contribute to a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays (in accordance with state labor laws for minors).
