Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated AI Subtitle Verifier to join our Digital Media & Video team in Baltimore. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated subtitles for accuracy, linguistic quality, and adherence to specific style guidelines across a variety of digital media content. Your work will ensure our global audience enjoys an impeccable viewing experience, contributing directly to the accessibility and reach of our renowned programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated subtitles for linguistic accuracy, grammatical correctness, and proper synchronization with on-screen dialogue and action.
- Verify adherence to established style guides, client specifications, and industry best practices for subtitling.
- Identify and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, timing, and formatting.
- Ensure cultural relevance and nuance are accurately captured in subtitles.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve AI models and internal processes.
- Collaborate with localization project managers and content teams to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (native or near-native proficiency).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for linguistic nuances.
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with various digital media platforms and video content.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with subtitling software or CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools.
- Previous experience in localization, translation, or quality assurance within media.
- Knowledge of an additional language (Spanish, French, German, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
