Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Apple Procurement Specialist to join our Business Support team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our procurement processes, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring the timely and high-quality acquisition of goods and services critical to Apple’s operations. You will support various business units, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement best practices within a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned categories to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including vendor selection, qualification, negotiation, and contract management.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., engineering, finance, legal) to understand their needs and align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, evaluate market trends, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon SLAs and KPIs, addressing any discrepancies or issues proactively.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, savings, and key metrics to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with Apple's procurement policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize purchasing decisions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing overall supply chain effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement, supply chain, or sourcing role, preferably within a large multinational corporation.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
- Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
- Experience working with global supply chains and international vendors.
- Familiarity with Apple's product ecosystem and internal procurement processes.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Experience with sustainable sourcing practices and supplier diversity initiatives.
