Job Description
Are you ready to dive headfirst into the exhilarating world of live music and theatre? Live Nation Entertainment is seeking an energetic and dedicated Backstage Runner to join our fast-paced team. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ropes of venue operations, stage management, and artist support. You’ll be a crucial part of ensuring seamless productions, from concert setup to theatre performances, in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist production teams with stage setup, breakdown, and general operational support.
- Run errands, transport equipment, and deliver essential items to various departments backstage and front-of-house.
- Provide support to artists, crew, and management as needed, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of backstage areas, dressing rooms, and storage facilities.
- Operate communication devices (e.g., two-way radios) effectively to coordinate tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and venue policies to ensure a secure working environment.
- Be prepared for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of live event production is a plus, but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-paced work environment (e.g., hospitality, retail, event support).
- Familiarity with theatre or concert venue operations.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
