Job Description
Are you looking for flexible work that fits your schedule? Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking motivated and reliable Casual Warehouse Hands to join our distribution center team in Augusta. This role offers the opportunity to pick up shifts as needed, providing you with the flexibility to balance work with other commitments. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring products are accurately received, stored, and prepared for shipment to our stores, contributing directly to our mission of providing fresh, quality food to our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming merchandise accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock rotation as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
