Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Beauty Editor Assistant to join our dynamic Digital Content team. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our Beauty Editor in creating compelling, informative, and engaging digital content across various platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring beauty writer with a passion for digital media to grow their career within a leading beauty retailer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Beauty Editor in researching, planning, and executing digital content for Sephora's platforms, including the blog, social media, and email newsletters.
- Conduct thorough research on beauty trends, product launches, ingredient science, and consumer insights.
- Write, edit, and proofread articles, product descriptions, social media captions, and other copy, ensuring accuracy, brand voice, and SEO best practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, product, creative) to gather information and assets for content creation.
- Manage content calendars and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of all assigned projects.
- Assist with content asset management, including image selection and organization.
- Participate in content strategy brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities for engaging content.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the content team.
Required Skills
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated passion for the beauty industry, products, and trends.
- Strong research abilities and a proactive approach to gathering information.
- Familiarity with digital content platforms and social media best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience (internships welcome) in content creation, editorial, or digital media, preferably within the beauty or fashion industry.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and content optimization.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS).
- A portfolio of writing samples, especially beauty-related content.
