Job Description

Brenntag North America is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Chemical Warehouse Tech to join our team in Fresno, CA. This entry-level position offers comprehensive Hazmat training, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start a career in chemical logistics and warehousing. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and movement of chemical products, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. No prior Hazmat experience is required – we will provide all necessary training to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load, unload, and store chemical products using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, quantity accuracy, and proper labeling.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Handle hazardous materials according to established safety protocols and regulatory guidelines (training provided).
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling of products.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with inventory management.
  • Operate weigh scales, drum fillers, and other processing equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety and following established procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and obtain Hazmat certifications (provided by company).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling or safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
