Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nanny to support professional working parents in a busy household located in Belgravia, London. This role is ideal for a proactive, nurturing, and highly organised individual passionate about child development and providing a stable, loving environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the family to ensure the children’s well-being, education, and daily routines are meticulously managed, allowing parents to focus on their professional commitments with peace of mind. This is a full-time, live-out position requiring flexibility and a long-term commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for children, including meal preparation, dressing, bathing, and supervision of daily activities.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to foster development.
- Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
- Assist with homework and school projects, providing tutoring and support as needed.
- Maintain tidiness and organization of children's rooms and play areas.
- Administer basic first aid and medication as required, with parental consent.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, challenges, and daily events.
- Organize and facilitate outings, playdates, and cultural experiences.
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Travel with the family if required for holidays or extended periods.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years professional nanny experience with verifiable references.
- Demonstrable knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to childcare.
- Full clean UK driving license (desirable, but not essential).
- Current paediatric first aid certification.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).
- Experience with multiple children.
- Ability to speak a second language.
- Experience working in a private household setting.
