Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic anesthesia team at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
  • Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local, under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and anesthesia depth throughout surgical procedures.
  • Manage patient airways and provide ventilatory support.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide immediate resuscitative care as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all aspects of anesthesia care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures and post-operative care.

Required Skills

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida or ability to obtain.
  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the NBCRNA.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer all types of anesthesia safely and effectively.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a CRNA in an acute care setting.
  • Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties (e.g., cardiac, neuro, pediatrics).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
