Job Description

Are you a gaming enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a passion for independent games? We are looking for an ‘EA Originals Indie Game Tester’ to join our vibrant team. In this creative environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of upcoming indie titles published under the EA Originals label. You will dive deep into gameplay mechanics, identify bugs, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate closely with development teams to refine the player experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive test plans to identify, record, and track defects across various game features and platforms.
  • Provide detailed and actionable written and verbal feedback on gameplay mechanics, user experience, and overall game quality.
  • Collaborate directly with game developers, designers, and producers to understand project goals and deliver targeted testing.
  • Perform regression testing, verification of bug fixes, and ad-hoc testing as required.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of multiple game projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for video games, especially indie titles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with common bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a game testing or quality assurance role.
