Job Description
Are you passionate about golf and video games? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for finding glitches? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic, entry-level Playtesters to join our team in Cincinnati, OH, specifically for the EA Sports PGA Tour title. This is a temporary, on-site role that offers an immediate start for individuals eager to contribute to the quality assurance and development of a major sports title. You’ll be instrumental in identifying bugs, providing feedback, and ensuring a smooth, engaging experience for players worldwide. No prior experience in game testing is required – just a keen interest in gaming and a meticulous approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and bug reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Actively play through assigned sections of the EA Sports PGA Tour game, attempting various gameplay scenarios.
- Identify, document, and report software defects, bugs, and inconsistencies using internal bug-tracking tools.
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, user interface, and overall user experience.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure identified issues are resolved.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand game mechanics and testing objectives.
- Maintain confidentiality of all game content and project details.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games, especially sports titles and golf games.
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute test cases precisely.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with standard office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the EA Sports PGA Tour franchise or similar golf simulation games.
- Experience using bug-tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus, but not required.
- Prior experience in a quality assurance or testing role (any industry).
- A foundational understanding of golf rules and gameplay.
