Job Description
Are you passionate about the bleeding edge of gaming technology? Do you live and breathe sports gaming? Microsoft is seeking an EA Sports Product Specialist to join our dynamic team in San Antonio. In this role, you will be a key interface between our platforms and the exciting world of EA Sports titles. You will test, evaluate, and provide critical feedback on EA Sports products, ensuring optimal performance and an unparalleled user experience on our hardware and services. This position requires deep expertise in EA Sports franchises, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering excellence in gaming.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth testing and quality assurance for EA Sports titles across various Microsoft platforms (Xbox consoles, PC, cloud gaming).
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and performance issues with precision and clarity.
- Provide expert feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface, graphics, and overall user experience specific to EA Sports titles.
- Collaborate closely with internal development teams, product managers, and external partners (EA Sports) to drive product improvements.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and competitive landscape within the sports gaming genre.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of testing procedures, findings, and best practices.
- Participate in product demonstrations and presentations as a subject matter expert for EA Sports titles.
- Assist in the creation of training materials for support and sales teams regarding EA Sports products.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise and passion for EA Sports franchises (e.g., FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Live, F1).
- Strong understanding of gaming consoles (Xbox preferred), PC gaming, and cloud gaming technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous approach to identifying and diagnosing issues.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Demonstrated experience in product testing, quality assurance, or a similar role in the gaming industry.
- Proficiency with bug tracking software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira) and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in QA or software testing.
- Experience with game development engines or scripting languages.
- A track record of competitive gaming or active participation in gaming communities.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools to interpret user feedback and performance metrics.
