Job Description

Desjardins Group in Rimouski is excited to offer an entry-level opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bank Teller. No prior experience in banking is required! We believe in nurturing talent and providing all the tools you need to succeed. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on training to develop the skills necessary to excel in this role, building a strong foundation for your professional journey with Desjardins.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
- Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate Desjardins products and services, referring them to specialists when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank products, services, and policies.
- Adhere to all security and compliance procedures to protect both the bank and its members.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and foster a positive working environment.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic mathematical aptitude
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in French (both spoken and written) due to location and customer base
