Job Description
Uline is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Midstream Tally Clerk with a focus on warehouse operations to join our Milwaukee team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately tracking, verifying, and documenting inventory movement within our dynamic warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in logistics and supply chain, providing foundational experience in inventory management, data entry, and operational support. You will play a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count and verify incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Maintain precise records of inventory counts, discrepancies, and movements using internal systems.
- Generate and process various inventory-related reports and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments regarding inventory status.
- Perform routine checks to ensure inventory data integrity.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and conduct root cause analysis.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for data entry and retrieval.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, data entry)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory environment (even part-time or volunteer)
- Familiarity with inventory management principles or systems
- Forklift certification (opportunity for training provided)
- Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field
