Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Excel Reporting Specialist with a strong focus on Business Intelligence to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights through sophisticated Excel-based reports and dashboards. You will work closely with various business units to understand their reporting needs, design efficient data models, and deliver accurate, timely, and visually compelling reports that support strategic decision-making. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Excel-based reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Excel for analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and analyses.
- Automate reporting processes using advanced Excel functions, macros (VBA), and other tools.
- Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and data interpretation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Business Intelligence strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations to management and other relevant teams.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and analytical capabilities.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting, and data validation.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles for reporting.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining complex dashboards and reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with VBA for Excel automation.
- Familiarity with other Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction.
- Experience in a consulting environment or large corporate setting.
