As a Drivers Mate, you will play a crucial role in assisting our FedEx drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of packages to homes and businesses. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the FedEx driver with loading and unloading packages from the delivery vehicle.
- Help navigate and confirm delivery locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs.
- Scan and document packages using handheld devices.
- Safely handle a variety of package sizes and weights, including oversized items.
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers during deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the driver to optimize delivery routes and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Team-oriented mindset and a willingness to follow instructions.
- Basic knowledge of mobile scanning devices (training provided).
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, physical labor, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Wichita metropolitan area roads and neighborhoods.
- Proven track record of reliability and strong work ethic.
