Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance professional for a General Repair role to join our team in Antioch, CA. This stable full-time position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring our buildings and equipment are in optimal working condition to support our continuous operations. This role requires a hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on facility buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure longevity and efficiency of systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
  • Execute carpentry, painting, and other general repair tasks as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with facility improvements and renovation projects.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in general facilities maintenance and repair.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Experience with industrial or warehouse facility maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Prior experience in a logistics or transportation environment.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
