Job Description

As a FedEx Ground Logistic Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of packages through our ground network. This dynamic role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will manage various aspects of logistics, from route optimization and capacity planning to incident resolution, contributing directly to our mission of timely and dependable deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze daily package flow, identifying potential delays or inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing routes and improving delivery times.
  • Coordinate with drivers, station personnel, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
  • Utilize logistics software and tools to track shipments and manage inventory.
  • Prepare detailed reports on logistics performance, costs, and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Respond promptly to operational challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics network.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with FedEx Ground operations or similar large-scale logistics networks.
  • Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation compliance.
