Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FedEx Supply Chain Planner to join our dynamic logistics team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for optimizing our FedEx logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of our technology products. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, FedEx representatives, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance supply chain performance, reduce transit times, and improve overall customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage FedEx shipping strategies and plans for technology products.
- Monitor and analyze FedEx shipment data, identify trends, and recommend improvements for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, Warehousing) to ensure timely and accurate product delivery via FedEx.
- Act as a primary liaison with FedEx account representatives, negotiating service agreements and resolving operational issues.
- Forecast shipping volumes and capacity needs, ensuring adequate resources are available for peak periods.
- Implement and maintain logistics software and systems related to FedEx operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, company policies, and FedEx guidelines.
- Prepare regular reports on FedEx performance metrics, including on-time delivery, cost, and service levels.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation planning, with a strong focus on parcel shipping.
- Proven experience working with FedEx services, systems, and account management.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ERP, TMS) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
- Experience in the technology hardware or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs processes.
