Job Description
Are you handy with tools and love bringing furniture to life? IKEA is seeking detail-oriented and reliable Flat Pack Assemblers and Furniture Specialists for flexible, contract-based gigs in the Oceanside area. This role involves traveling to customer homes or business locations to expertly assemble a wide range of IKEA furniture, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble various types of flat-pack furniture according to manufacturer instructions, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
- Utilize personal tools and equipment effectively and safely for assembly tasks.
- Manage time efficiently to complete assembly jobs within estimated timeframes.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding assembly details, progress, and any potential issues.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy during and after assembly.
- Inspect assembled furniture for defects or missing parts and report as necessary.
- Handle furniture and customer property with care and respect.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to read and follow complex assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and maneuver furniture components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in furniture assembly or related fields.
- Familiarity with IKEA furniture assembly processes.
- Possession of a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for travel to customer locations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
