Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Utility Hand to join our dynamic warehouse team in Cicero, Illinois. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals eager to learn and contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics facility. As a General Utility Hand, you will be crucial in supporting various warehouse functions, ensuring efficiency, safety, and organization across all areas. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training for motivated candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, sorting, and staging materials.
  • Perform general cleanup and maintenance of the warehouse facility, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as needed (training provided).
  • Support inventory management tasks, including counting, scanning, and organizing stock.
  • Palletize and de-palletize freight according to company standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English).
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with basic warehouse safety procedures.
