Job Description
We are seeking empathetic and reliable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team in Mobile, Alabama. This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to balance work with your personal life while providing essential care to clients across various suburbs of Mobile. As an HHA, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with daily living activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying common areas, and changing bed linens.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Assist clients with safe transfers and ambulation, utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Accompany clients to appointments or run errands as required.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current HHA certification in Alabama
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with patient care
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification
