Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a flexible and active part-time job? DoorDash is seeking energetic and reliable individuals to join our High School Delivery Crew in Tampa, focusing on bike and scooter deliveries. This is an excellent opportunity to earn money, stay active, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for picking up food and other items from local merchants and delivering them directly to customers, ensuring a positive experience with every order.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver orders to customers using a bike or scooter.
- Utilize the DoorDash app for navigation, order management, and communication.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with merchants and customers.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure items are securely transported.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery times to meet customer expectations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from high school.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Possess a reliable bike or scooter and the ability to operate it safely.
- Own a smartphone with data plan to use the DoorDash app.
- Strong navigation and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and merchants.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
- A positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with delivery services or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with the Tampa metropolitan area.
