Job Description
Are you looking for flexible, temporary work that offers great pay and the chance to be part of a vibrant team during peak holiday seasons? Hilton Manchester Deansgate is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Holiday Peak Porters to support our operations during the busy winter and summer periods. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a luxury hotel environment, earn extra cash, and contribute to the seamless experience of our valued guests. As a Peak Porter, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel, assisting guests with their luggage, providing information, and ensuring the lobby area remains immaculate and inviting.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
- Safely transport guest luggage to and from their rooms, ensuring careful handling.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable lobby and entrance area.
- Assist with package and mail delivery for guests and hotel departments.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
- Help with ad-hoc tasks as required to support the front office and concierge teams.
- Operate valet parking services if applicable and as required (training provided).
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
- Knowledge of the local Salford/Manchester area and attractions.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Valid UK driving license for potential valet duties (optional).
