Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pinterest Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our growing team. In this on-site role in Dade City, FL, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining the Pinterest Knowledge Graph, a critical component that powers discovery and search for millions of users. You will work on data collection, validation, and analysis, ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the knowledge base. This position requires a passion for data quality, an analytical mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to improve data structures and contribute to the evolution of semantic understanding on the Pinterest platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data collection, curation, and validation for knowledge graph entities, attributes, and relationships relevant to Pinterest content.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for knowledge graph enrichment.
  • Develop and implement data quality checks and processes to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define and refine data schemas, ontologies, and taxonomy structures.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and automation for data ingestion, processing, and management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to knowledge graph health and propose improvements.
  • Research and integrate external data sources to expand the breadth and depth of the knowledge graph.
  • Document data definitions, processes, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or data management roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex datasets and identify trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with knowledge graph concepts, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL), or graph databases.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data processing and automation.
  • Prior experience working with large-scale knowledge graphs or content platforms.
  • Understanding of machine learning principles and their application in data enrichment.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
