Job Description

Bayshore Home Health is seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Home Companions. This unique full-time role requires no prior experience as we provide comprehensive training and support. You will be instrumental in providing non-medical companionship, personal assistance, and travel support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers the exciting opportunity to travel with clients, experiencing new environments while providing essential care and camaraderie. Key Responsibilities
- Provide empathetic and respectful companionship to clients in their homes and during travel.
- Assist clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social engagements, or leisure activities, both locally and internationally.
- Offer support with personal care tasks as needed, maintaining dignity and privacy.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversations, and hobbies.
- Monitor client well-being and report any changes or concerns to the supervisory team.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the client at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and client interactions.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of empathy, patience, and compassion
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt to new environments and situations (e.g., travel)
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (asset for local travel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or caregiving role (voluntary or informal)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to speak multiple languages
- Experience with international travel
