Job Description
Join the Hilton team as a Hotel Porter and become an essential part of our guest experience. We are actively hiring across all UK regions, offering an exciting opportunity to launch or advance your career in hospitality. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first friendly face our guests see, ensuring their arrival and departure are smooth, efficient, and memorable. You’ll handle luggage, assist with guest inquiries, and maintain the impeccable standards that Hilton is known for. This role is perfect for individuals who are energetic, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to a world-renowned brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, both on arrival and departure.
- Escort guests to their rooms, explaining hotel facilities and services as needed.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage from vehicles.
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and directions.
- Deliver parcels, messages, and faxes to guest rooms or meeting rooms promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and entrance areas.
- Support other hotel departments as required, including concierge and reception.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a helpful attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 20kg) comfortably.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to guest service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Hilton's standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of the local area and popular attractions in Oxfordshire.
- Full UK driving license (desirable, but not essential for the role).
