Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Housekeeping Porter with heavy lifting support skills to join our dynamic team at Hilton Scarborough. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our housekeeping department and contributing to an outstanding guest experience. The ideal candidate will be reliable, stable, and possess the strength and willingness to handle various physical tasks, including moving furniture, delivering supplies, and assisting with general hotel operations that require heavy lifting. You will be an integral part of maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that Hilton guests expect. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move heavy furniture, equipment, and other items as required by the housekeeping and operations teams.
- Assist with the delivery and distribution of linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities to various areas of the hotel.
- Support housekeeping staff in turning over rooms, including tasks that may involve moving mattresses or other substantial items.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for items like extra beds, luggage assistance, or other heavy item movements.
- Transport waste and recycling materials to designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, service corridors, and back-of-house areas.
- Operate hotel equipment (e.g., trolleys, dollies) safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, particularly those related to manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, front office, and maintenance teams.
Required Skills
- Proven physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting and strenuous tasks regularly.
