Job Description
Are you a friendly, proactive individual looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? Menzies Aviation is seeking dedicated Weekend Airport Passenger Aides to join our Guest Services team at Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) in Pasco, Washington. In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of the airport, providing essential assistance and excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a smooth and pleasant travel experience. This is a perfect role for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy helping others, with shifts primarily on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet passengers with a warm and professional demeanor, offering assistance with a variety of needs.
- Provide information regarding flight schedules, gate locations, baggage claim, and airport amenities.
- Assist passengers with wayfinding within the airport terminal, directing them to appropriate areas.
- Offer support to passengers with special needs, including those requiring wheelchair assistance or extra help with luggage (within scope of duties).
- Help resolve minor passenger inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues to supervisors as needed.
- Maintain a visible and accessible presence in key airport areas to proactively assist passengers.
- Adhere to all airport security regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with airline staff, security personnel, and other airport stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic airport environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to passenger needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs consistently throughout shifts.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar guest-facing role.
- Experience in an airport or travel-related setting.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other common languages.
- Basic knowledge of airport operations and procedures.
