Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Privacy Analyst to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to specialize in Google Compliance within a remote work model. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations and client projects adhere to global privacy regulations, with a particular focus on Google’s specific privacy policies, data handling practices, and tools. This role offers excellent growth potential for an individual passionate about data privacy and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy programs and policies, with an emphasis on Google's privacy framework.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new projects, products, and services involving Google technologies.
- Monitor changes in global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and Google's data privacy policies, and help ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support the response to data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of privacy compliance activities and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal, IT, and business teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into Google-centric solutions.
- Participate in privacy training and awareness initiatives for internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of privacy compliance processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of key privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with Google's ecosystem (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, Google Analytics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace equivalents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Prior internship or project experience in data privacy, compliance, or information security.
- Knowledge of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs).
- Working towards a privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPSE).
