Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Contract Nanny for immediate hire in the Escondido area. This vital role involves providing comprehensive childcare for a loving family, focusing on creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, reliable, and compassionate individual with a genuine passion for child development and family support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, fostering a safe and stimulating environment.
- Plan and execute engaging age-appropriate activities, including educational games, crafts, and outdoor play.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, adhering to any dietary restrictions.
- Assist with homework and school projects, promoting learning and academic success.
- Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized children's living and play areas.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and ensure child safety at all times.
- Handle light household tasks related to children, such as laundry and tidying up.
- Be a positive role model, demonstrating patience, kindness, and integrity.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional nannying or childcare experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple children and maintain routines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing family needs and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience with children of varying age groups.
- Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate educational activities.
- Non-smoker.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
