Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Nanny to provide exceptional care for a family in Cedar Rapids. This role is perfect for a nurturing individual who is passionate about child development and looking for a long-term commitment. The Nanny will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and organized environment, focusing on the well-being and growth of the children. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare for children, adapting activities to their age and developmental stage.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary needs or restrictions.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Maintain a safe and tidy environment for the children, including light tidying of children's areas.
- Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Handle children's laundry and organize their belongings.
- Administer medication if required and approved by parents, and maintain first aid readiness.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional nanny or childcare experience with verifiable references.
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related coursework/degree.
- Experience with specific age groups (e.g., infants, toddlers, school-aged).
- Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Non-smoker.
