Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically curious individual to join our team as a Google Technical Support – Level 1 IT Specialist. This is a 100% remote position, focused on providing exceptional front-line technical assistance to Google’s internal users and, potentially, external clients using Google products and services. You will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and escalating issues to ensure smooth operation and user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, chat, and ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues (e.g., operating systems, network connectivity, application errors).
  • Assist users with account management, password resets, and access issues.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to Level 2 support teams with detailed documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all support interactions in the ticketing system.
  • Guide users through self-help resources and provide basic training.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge base articles.
  • Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS) and common office productivity suites (e.g., Google Workspace).
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong desire to help users.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with Google products and services (e.g., Gmail, Drive, Meet).
