Job Description
Join Planters as a Nut Roasting Facility Assistant and embark on an exciting entry-level career in food manufacturing! You’ll be an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our roasting lines and contributing to the quality of our famous nut products. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor nut roasting machinery under supervision, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Load raw nuts into roasters and unload finished products, following safety protocols.
- Assist with packaging and sorting of roasted nuts.
- Perform routine quality checks on product batches, including temperature and visual inspection.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with equipment setup, minor adjustments, and cleaning procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or product quality issues to the line supervisor.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including those related to working in a warm environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to work effectively in a warm and sometimes noisy manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Basic comprehension and communication skills in English.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment (food manufacturing a plus, but not required).
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP) is a bonus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with machinery operation.
