Job Description
Are you passionate about social media and deeply tuned into the trends and language of 16-year-old teens? Hollister Co. is seeking a dynamic and creative Online Social Media Manager to cultivate and expand our brand’s presence specifically within this crucial demographic. This 100% remote role demands an individual who can authentically connect with Gen Z, drive engagement, and translate brand values into compelling social content that resonates with today’s youth culture. You will be responsible for strategizing, executing, and optimizing our social media campaigns to foster a vibrant community and reinforce Hollister as a go-to brand for teens.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative social media strategies specifically targeting 16-year-old teens across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and emerging channels.
- Create engaging, on-brand content (videos, images, stories, lives) that speaks directly to the teen demographic, ensuring cultural relevance and authenticity.
- Monitor social media trends, competitor activities, and platform updates to identify new opportunities for growth and engagement.
- Manage daily posting schedules, community engagement, and direct interactions with our teen audience, fostering a positive and inclusive online environment.
- Collaborate with internal marketing, product, and design teams to align social media efforts with broader brand campaigns and product launches.
- Analyze social media performance data, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Identify and engage with relevant teen influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify reach and credibility.
- Stay up-to-date with social media best practices, algorithms, and privacy regulations relevant to youth audiences.
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand, with a strong portfolio showcasing content tailored for Gen Z or teen audiences.
- Deep understanding and active personal use of current social media platforms popular with teens (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an authentic voice that resonates with youth culture.
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software) for social media.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience in the retail or fashion industry, particularly targeting youth.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles for social media content.
