Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Class A CDL Owner Operators to partner with XPO Logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage and maintain your own truck and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Plan and execute routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all XPO Logistics safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and support staff.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean MVR and CSA scores.
- Proven track record of safe driving practices.
- Ability to manage own business operations, including finances and truck maintenance.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with ELD systems and electronic logging.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous owner operator experience.
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Experience with various types of freight and trailers (e.g., dry van, flatbed).
- Business acumen and a desire to grow your own trucking enterprise.
