Job Description

This vital role involves providing personalized care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing), toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
  • Monitor and report changes in client health status or behavior to the supervising nurse or care coordinator.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
  • Adhere strictly to all BrightStar Care policies, procedures, and client care plans.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of services provided.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional empathy, patience, and compassion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
  • Commitment to weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday shifts).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care, nursing assistance, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic first aid.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
