Job Description
Are you handy with tools and looking for flexible, seasonal work this summer? TaskRabbit is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our network as independent Patio Set Assemblers in the Lubbock area. As a Summer Season Local Tasker, you will be responsible for expertly assembling various types of patio furniture, including chairs, tables, sofas, and complete dining sets, at clients’ homes or businesses. This is a perfect opportunity for those seeking supplemental income, flexible hours, and the satisfaction of helping local clients enhance their outdoor living spaces. You’ll manage your own schedule, accept tasks that fit your availability, and get paid weekly for your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to clients' locations within the Lubbock area as assigned for patio set assembly tasks.
- Carefully unpack and inspect patio furniture components for any damage or missing parts.
- Read and accurately follow assembly instructions and diagrams provided by manufacturers.
- Utilize appropriate tools (both hand and power tools) to safely and efficiently assemble patio sets.
- Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely and furniture is stable and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at client sites and dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding task details, progress, and completion.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction with the completed assembly.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, Allen keys) and potentially power tools.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy or bulky items (up to 50 lbs) as required for assembly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly, handyman services, or related fields.
- Ownership of a reliable set of basic assembly tools.
- Access to reliable transportation for traveling to various client locations.
- A smartphone for using the Tasker app and managing tasks.
