Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Pharmacy Assistant in Gulfport, Mississippi. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a high school diploma looking to start a career in the healthcare field immediately. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clerical and non-judgmental duties.
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
- Organize and maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and rotating stock.
- Process prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the pharmacy.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system.
- Provide basic information to customers regarding pharmacy services.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in any industry
- Familiarity with medical terminology (a plus, but not required)
