Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using our point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash and balance the register drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Answer customer questions regarding pharmacy services and direct them to the appropriate staff member when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to customer privacy (HIPAA) and payment processing.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system quickly.
- Basic math skills.
- A positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role (even if not cashier-specific).
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations or medical terminology (not required, but a plus).
