Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulously detail-oriented Pharmacy Quality Control Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in West Valley City, UT. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality checks on incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished pharmaceutical goods.
- Inspect and verify labeling, packaging, and product specifications against established standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, including deviations and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor environmental conditions in sensitive production and storage areas to ensure compliance.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic analytical testing using specified equipment.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure continuous adherence to cGMP and other relevant regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members on quality control procedures.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or quality control setting
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow complex procedures and instructions
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- Knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) or similar quality systems
- Experience with quality management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
