Job Description

CVS Health is excited to offer a Pharmacy Tech Intern position, specifically designed for currently enrolled pharmacy students seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, develop essential pharmacy technician skills, and gain exposure to the daily operations of a leading healthcare provider. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in dispensing prescription medications.
  • Process customer transactions, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and escalating complex issues to the pharmacist.
  • Learn and adhere to all federal, state, and company regulations related to pharmacy practice.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks, including data entry and record keeping.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service role or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (training provided).
  • Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain one prior to starting).
