Job Description
Are you passionate about Madden NFL? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for finding glitches? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Playtesters to join our team in Little Rock, AR. In this exciting part-time role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and playability of upcoming Madden NFL titles. You’ll spend your time playing the game, identifying bugs, providing crucial feedback, and contributing directly to the development of one of the world’s most beloved sports franchises. This is an incredible opportunity for entry-level individuals to get their foot in the door of the video game industry and make a real impact on the player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and play through designated sections of Madden NFL titles.
- Actively seek out, identify, and document software bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive written feedback on gameplay, features, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with the development team to clarify issues and suggest improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of testing activities and bug reports using internal tracking systems.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines regarding unreleased game content.
- Participate in daily debriefs and team meetings to discuss findings.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable passion for Madden NFL and American football.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic proficiency with PC software and comfortable learning new tools.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with various Madden NFL game modes and mechanics.
- Previous experience with bug reporting or quality assurance (even informal).
- Understanding of the game development lifecycle.
- Experience using bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
