Job Description
Are you a high-energy individual with a passion for exceptional guest service? Grand Superior Lodge is seeking enthusiastic and attentive Poolside Guest Hosts to join our team for the summer season. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face of our aquatic amenities, ensuring guests have a safe, enjoyable, and relaxing experience by the pool. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a lively outdoor setting, loves interacting with people, and is committed to delivering outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests to the pool area, providing a positive and engaging first impression.
- Actively monitor the pool deck and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety and adherence to facility rules and regulations.
- Distribute and collect fresh towels, provide chilled water, and offer other amenities as needed to enhance guest comfort.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool area, including organizing loungers, tables, and tidying common spaces throughout the day.
- Proactively assist guests with inquiries, provide directions, and offer information about lodge amenities and local attractions.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or unusual incidents to the appropriate department promptly.
- Foster a fun, relaxing, and safe atmosphere for all guests enjoying our aquatic facilities.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the pool area, ensuring readiness for guests and secure closure.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment during peak seasonal periods.
- A consistently positive, enthusiastic, and guest-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by a seasonal resort operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality, resort, or customer service role.
- Current CPR and/or AED certification (training may be provided).
- Experience working in a recreational or poolside setting.
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures.
