Job Description
Join Waste Management, Inc. as a Portable Toilet Pump Truck Assistant for our Event Maintenance team in Albuquerque, NM. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and physically capable individual to support our event services division. You will work alongside experienced operators, assisting with the delivery, servicing, and retrieval of portable toilet units at various event locations throughout the Albuquerque area. This role is vital in ensuring sanitation standards are met and events run smoothly, providing a clean and safe environment for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pump truck operator with the safe and efficient delivery and placement of portable toilet units.
- Support the pumping and cleaning of portable toilet units at event sites, ensuring high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
- Help with the loading and unloading of units onto and off the pump truck.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on portable toilet units as needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols and company procedures are followed during servicing and transport.
- Maintain accurate service records and report any issues or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and event staff.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste management.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in waste management, sanitation, or event support.
- Experience operating light commercial vehicles.
- Familiarity with the Albuquerque metropolitan area.
